About Bryan Kofsky

Welcome to my story! I’m a Sales System Engineer, a marketing strategist, and above all, a technology enthusiast with a passion for AI and automation. My career path has been a unique blend of innovative marketing, strategic sales, and explorations into the exciting world of technology.

Professional Journey

My career took flight with a business administration degree from Nova Southeastern University, launching me into a marketing and sales role with the Florida Panthers. This sparked my fascination with marketing, sales, and technology’s intersection. As I progressed through various marketing roles at MDT Marketing and other organizations, I deepened my expertise in strategic marketing, campaign management, SEO, and digital acquisition, eventually pioneering the adoption of HubSpot CRM at MDT Marketing.

Transitioning into a Sales System Engineer role at MDT, my prior marketing experience has been invaluable. I’ve leveraged it to transform our sales approach through automation technologies and a data-driven mindset. The ability to ‘sit on both sides of the table’ is rare and beneficial—it allows me to work seamlessly with the marketing department, aligning goals and driving our sales engine’s evolution for ongoing success.

Key Skills and Competencies

My journey has crafted a skill set that is as diverse as it is unique, blending technology, marketing, and sales. At MDT Marketing, I’ve been able to apply this fusion of skills, shifting from solely relationship-based sales to a strategy that embraces automation and harnesses the power of data. My technological know-how, particularly in marketing and sales automation, coupled with a knack for creative problem-solving, has helped me improve performance and deliver results. But what truly sets me apart is my ability to understand and optimize the sales process, carry out performance testing, and nurture leads into profitable relationships. My insights and abilities have been instrumental in steering successful campaigns and have given me the opportunity to foster an environment where learning, sharing, and growth thrive.

Personal Brand

I see myself as more than a marketing strategist or sales engineer. I am a knowledge sharer, a lifelong learner, and a relationship builder. I prioritize honesty and integrity in my professional life, traits I’ve found to be more valuable than I realized in my youth.

Experience

MDT Marketing

Sales System Engineer (Dec 2021 – Present) In my current role as a Sales System Engineer, I design, manage, and optimize a robust sales and marketing system that drives growth. I play a central role in transforming our sales processes within HubSpot, managing lead sources for conversion efficiency, and innovating workflows for enhanced conversions and sales. Additionally, I assist with team development, budgeting, and strategic goal alignment to ensure scalable and profitable sales.

Marketing Strategies Manager (Jul 2018 – Dec 2021) In the Marketing Strategies department I facilitated the growth of our clients’ businesses through strategic marketing efforts aligned with sales goals. A key achievement in this role was my initiative to vet various CRM platforms, leading to the successful adoption of HubSpot CRM by our sales team — a first in the company’s history for the ongoing use of a CRM. This decision not only streamlined our internal operations but also helped set the stage for MDT to later become a HubSpot Solutions Partner, amplifying our ability to serve our clients better.

Account Manager (Sep 2014 – Feb 2017) Previously at MDT, as an Account Manager, I managed marketing campaigns across 100+ campuses nationwide, serving as the direct point of contact for clients. In addition, I managed our entire affiliate program, negotiating partnerships and managing a monthly budget of over $300K. This involved hiring, onboarding, and continuous optimization and analysis of over 25 affiliates.

Internet Marketing Specialist (Aug 2011 – Sep 2014) I started my journey at MDT as an Internet Marketing Specialist, where I was responsible for analyzing and implementing on-page SEO and managing all aspects of website development, including managing outsourced projects.

ion interactive

Manager of Digital Acquisition (Jan 2018 – Jun 2018) At ion interactive, I spearheaded numerous aspects of digital marketing with a focus on segmentation across all channels. My role involved working closely with the Director of Marketing and Sales Team to enhance data-driven campaign management, instituting an agile process for collaboration, and managing automation tech to create dynamic models. I identified testing opportunities, executed and optimized communications. Additionally, I mentored team members in agile, promoting growth and collaboration.

Starmark

Digital Marketing Specialist (Feb 2017 – Dec 2017) At Starmark, I managed the paid search team, introduced and integrated new systems, and was trained in the AgencyAgile methodology for team and client collaboration.

Florida Panthers

Inside Sales Representative (Dec 2010 – Apr 2011) At Florida Panthers, I sold season packages, group tickets, and premium seating while managing customer data and performance tracking.

Intern (Aug 2010 – Dec 2010) Starting as an intern, I assisted in new business and premium seating sales, generated sales leads, and managed performance tracking of sales representatives.

Starbucks

Coffee Barista (Jul 2007 – Nov 2010) Even at Starbucks, where I worked through college, I honed my interpersonal skills and customer service abilities and learned a ton about organizational culture.

Personal Interests

Beyond the professional sphere, I cherish my leisure time spent on home automation, exploring AI applications in daily life, and diving into engaging literature. Recently, I’ve been experimenting with AI as a personal chef assistant, helping me construct new recipes based on common ingredients that I have on hand. I also enjoy losing myself in the expansive universe of Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere series. You can check out what I’m reading here: Bryan’s Goodreads.
